Application
Patch ‘n’ Bond Steel is a versatile, high-performance repair solution designed to restore and protect a wide range of metal components. It is particularly effective for sealing holes, cracks, and voids in critical systems such as water pipes, fuel lines, radiators, and ductwork. Beyond simple sealing, this solvent-free compound is robust enough to rebuild stripped threads, repair small machine parts, and restore surface integrity to items suffering from rust or corrosion damage. By allowing users to rebuild layers on degraded surfaces, it effectively brings worn equipment back into service and extends its operational lifespan. Engineered for durability, the material does not shrink or pull away over time, making it ideal for both internal and external applications. It provides a permanent, weather-resistant bond that shields metal parts against further chemical attack and environmental wear. Patch ‘n’ Bond Steel serves as a reliable, all-purpose medium for general metal maintenance and structural preservation.
Instructions
2.Sanding the surfaces can improve adhesion.
3.Clean the substrate using KENT Soft Surface Cleaner or Acrysol.
4.Cut the amount of epoxy required for the repair.
5.Wear impervious gloves when mixing or handling uncured product. Knead with damp fingers until a uniform colour is achieved.
6.Apply to the repair site within 3 minutes, forcing the material into cracks and striking off excess with a moistened tool.
7.For a smooth surface, rub with water or a damp cloth and remove excess material before hardening begins.
8.After 60 minutes, the repair can be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded and painted.
9.After approx. 24 hours the Patch’n’Bond is fully cured.
