Application
Ultra Alu THX aluminium pigmented polyester putty that has excellent spreadability and compactness. It is characterised by good formability even in thick layers. Its smooth surface can be easily sanded with a coarse abrasive paper e.g. P120-P320, which makes the transitions between filler and repaired surface. Ultra Alu THX has formulated to
achieve resistance to high temperature and good mechanical properties, so components are strengthened by its use. This product is particularly suitable for filling dents, porous surfaces and other defects in galvanised, but also in steel and aluminium parts that are exposed to high temperatures and mechanical loads.
Instructions
1. The substrate must be load-bearing, sanded, clean, dry and free of residues.
2. Throughly mix putty and 2-3% of BPO hardener by weight until a homogeneous shade of colour is achieved.
3. The mixture has a pot-life of about 5 minutes at 20 °C. Higher temperatur can reduce the pot life.
4. After 20 minutes the bodyfiller can be sanded: hand - machine dry sanding use P120 - P320. The hardening process is accelerated by heat and delayed by cold, not recommended to use below 10 °C.
