Application
Toughcoat 2 is a product for all modern bodyshops that want to replicate OEM finishes for underbody and stone chip protection. The product is based on synthetic resins and rubbers. It is fast drying and has been developed specifically to provide long-term stone chip protection.
Toughcoat 2 is very thixotropic and can be applied without dripping. The product is touch dry in approx. 20 minutes and can be overpainted with all standard automotive paint systems when fully cured.
Toughcoat 2 can be air dried or baked. After application, the product forms a closed, elastic and textured film with excellent rust and stone chip protection.
Instructions
- Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from rust.
- Shake well before use.
- Apply an even coat using the Syphon Gun. The recommended layer thickness is approx. 1 mm. Adjust the nozzle to achieve the required finish.
- Allow two hours flash-off to completely cure before overpainting.
- If necessary, remove product with Acrysol.
- Clean spray gun with solvent after use.
