Application
Spot Primer is a fast-drying, universal 1K aerosol primer that has been specially developed for small repairs and sanded-through spots. Its quick-drying properties allow for improved process times and higher throughput.
Spot Primer is suitable for use on sanded-through spots on steel, existing coatings, putties, wash primers, glass reinforced polyester laminates, primers and fillers. It can be overcoated with all common water-based and solvent-based refinishing paint systems.
Instructions
- The surface must be clean, dry and degreased.
- Shake can for at least 2 minutes before use.
- Apply in 2-3 even criss-cross layers. Spraying distance: 25-30 cm.
- Allow 3-5 minutes flash-off time between layers (20 °C).
- After use, invert can and spray until clear to clean the nozzle.
- Allow 10-15 minutes final flash-off time before sanding (20 °C).
- Sand lightly with P500 grit sandpaper (dry) or P1000 (wet) before applying basecoat or topcoat.
