Application
Thin polishing pads are designed for use with 2-1 polishes such as Fast Cut (86415). Use a harder pad for efficient scratch removal. Use a medium or soft pad to achieve a perfect hologram free surface finish.
Thin polishing pads offer several advantages such as improved surface uniformity, higher precisio and better thermal dissipation compared to traditional thicker pads. They are energy-efficient and provide better control in low-pressure polishing applications, making them especially cost-effective for high-precision jobs.
Do always use an orbital polisher, thin pads will not work on a rotary polisher and require careful control of pressure.
Instructions
- Choose the right pad for the job.
- Attach the pad to the polisher, ensuring it is centred and select the correct machine speed.
- Apply a sufficient amount of polishing compound to the pad, place the pad on the surface and start the machine. Do not use too much product and do not add water during the process.
- Treat the surface with medium pressure and speed until scratches and imperfections are removed.
- Reduce the pressure and increase the speed for final high gloss polishing.
- After polishing, remove any residue with a clean and dry microfibre cloth.
