Application
KENT Sil Pack has been designed to meet the need for an RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) gasket material. This is able to meet OEM specifications for gasketless “Face to Face” joints as used in gearboxes, water pumps, enclosures etc. When placed within a gasketing application Sil Pack is resistant to many types of light and heavy oils.
In addition, KENT Sil Pack can be used to replace older styles of gasket, to ensure a leak free joint. Also due to its ability to bond with rubber, KENT Sil Pack can be used to repair split rubbers such as CV gaiters and steering rack boots. It’s wide temperature range ensures that it is suitable for all applications that call for an RTV type sealer.
For waterproofing, bonding, insulating, sealing, shimming and packing out to cure rattles.
Instructions
1. Ensure all surfaces are free of dust and loose particles.
2. Sil Pack is oil-tolerant and can be applied onto greasy surfaces. Although, when possible, completely remove all oil and grease with KENT Soft Surface Cleaner.
3. Extrude as required.
