Application

Prelock locks and seals pre-assembled threaded fasteners up to 1/2" (M12).
Prelock is ideal for preventive maintenance on existing equipment.
Applications include adjustment screws, instrumentation screws, electrical connectors and set screws.
Prelock also seals porosities in welds and metal parts.
Prelock cures in the absence of air between close fitting metal parts - active metals such as brass and copper, and passive metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces.
The curing speed varies depending on the surface.
For increasing the curing speed, use KENT Anaerobic Activator.
Prelock can be applied on surfaces presenting traces of cutting oils, lubricants and protection liquids.

Instructions

1. For preventive maintenance, tetighten nuts to required torque or re-adjust screw to proper setting.
2. Apply Prelock at the nut and bolt juncture or at the screw and body juncture.
3. Don’t move parts after assembling.
4. Functional strength is achieved in 3 to 4 hours depending on the nature of the surface and the size of the thread.
5. Allow 24 hours curing time in order to achieve full strength.
