Application

Allows making solid, permanent repairs of breaks, cracks and tears in rigid or flexible plastic parts.
Automotive plastic parts - Bumpers, dashboards, headlight housings, broken clips, engine covers, under bonnet components, under vehicle protection shields, door trim panels, interior trims, exterior trims, radiator grilles, wing mirror housings, etc.
Other plastic parts - Recycling bins, dumpster lids, electrical housings, plastic furniture.

Instructions

1. Choose the suitable shape of staple and place it into the electrodes (see list of staples on next page).
2. Insert the staple into the electrodes, in the angle that most suits the application (0°, 45° or 90°).
3. Once the staple is inserted into the electrode, position the staple against the area to be repaired.
4. Push the red or blue button and exert a slight pressure in order to let the staple slowly penetrate into the plastic part. The colour of the button determines the power to use according to the thickness and the type of plastic material:

Blue (low power, 12.75W): plastic with 1.5 to 2 mm thickness

Red (high power, 17W): hard plastics with thickness over 2 mm
5. Release the button and wait 3 seconds before withdrawing the KENT Mini Stapler, in order to allow the melted plastic to harden.
6. Repeat the operation in all necessary areas until the repair is complete.
7. Cut off the excess parts of the staples with cutting pliers (protect your eyes against flying parts).
