Application

Prevents noise caused by rattling of automotive components. Self adhering to all common, automotive substrates
Adhesive backed shim stock is specially designed to fill larger gaps, will seal around doors, hatches, boot and bonnet lids to prevent air and water leaks.
The adhesive backing provides excellent adhesion on clear coated paint, plastics, foam, glass aluminium, steel, fibreglass, SMC, rubber, cloth vinyl and many other substrates

Instructions

1. Clean the surface to be sealed of all contaminants such as old sealers / adhesives, oil / grease with a suitable cleaner such as KENT Acrysol.
2. Apply Adhesive backed shim stock to the back of the seal or housing etc and press firmly into place.
3. Larger gaps may require additional layers to seal the area.
4. Trim off excess Adhesive Backed Shim Stock with a razor blade.
5. To re-position, press lightly into place and check for proper alignment, complete gap fill.
6. Reposition as necessary, then press firmly into place along the entire length to increase bond strength.
