Application
KENT Sili Gasket Neutral has been designed to meet the need for an RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) gasket material. This is able to meet OEM specifications for gasketless “Face to Face” joints as used on today's vehicle engines. When placed within a gasketing application Sili Gasket Neutral is resistant to many types of light and heavy oils.
In addition, KENT Sili Gasket Neutral can be used to replace, or with older styles of gasket, to ensure a leak free joint. Also due to its ability to bond with rubber, KENT Sili Gasket Neutral can be used to repair split rubbers such as CV gaiters and steering rack boots. It’s wide temperature range ensures that it is suitable for all applications that call for an RTV type sealer.
For waterproofing, bonding, insulating, sealing, shimming and packing out to cure rattles.
Instructions
1. Clean the joints with KENT Acrysol or Soft Surface Cleaner. Loose particles have to be removed.
2. Extrude as required.
3. The product can be tooled before skin formation.
NB: Sili Gasket Neutral should not be used for aquarium building because it contains fungicides. It can cause stains around joints on marble, sandstone and other extremely absorbent substrates if they are not treated carefully with a primer.
