Application

KENT Fuel Guard 2 was developed primarily as a lubricating & cleaning product, the active ingredient has the ability to effectively remove carbon and ash deposits and disperse them through the system during combustion.
The formulated additives provide lubricity, anti corrosion, anti oxidant and anti wear benefits to ensure continued clean smooth running of the engine. An improved dispersion system removes water contamination from the fuel system to avoid corrosion and the growth of micro organisms. Used regularly, it will also prevent the build up of sludge and other contamination.
KENT Fuel Guard 2 is a dual fuel system cleaner for both petrol and diesel combustion engines and compatible with all common unleaded gasoline/petrol (up to and including E10), red/off road diesel and bio-diesel.
It removes residues (gums, resins and tars that are present in all fuels) from the internal components whilst the formulation also lubricates moving components. In addition, the additive is effective at reducing emission levels which was confirmed and certificated by the TÜV THÜRINGEN/Germany. A performed emission test according to the test criteria of 70/220/EEC (as amended by 2003/76/EC) showed a decrease of the exhaust emissions (CO, HC) by application of the recommended dose. Furthermore, it improves the cold starting and therefore fuel economy. It is a chemical based cleaner which dissolves ash and carbon deposits and residues as opposed to competing products which contain “Ash” forming ingredients and attempt to remove contaminants by “scouring”.

Instructions

As a continuous treatment: Recommend adding 1 ml to every 1 litre of fuel, e.g. 50 litres of fuel requires 50 ml of Fuel Guard 2. Add the product to the fuel tank before adding fuel. Repeat every time the vehicle tank is filled.
As a one off "rapid" fuel injection and system clean-up: Recommend adding 5 ml of Fuel Guard 2 to every litre of fuel. E.g. 50 litres of fuel requires 250 ml of Fuel Guard 2. Add the product to the fuel tank before adding fuel. As an interval “rapid” cleaning repeat it every 8.000 km.
As a storage application for seasonable used vehicles: Recommend adding 250 - 500 ml of Fuel Guard 2 to 50 litres of fuel (5 - 10 ml per litre). Immediately before storing the vehicle, add the product to the fuel tank before adding fuel. For maximum protection, the vehicle should be stored with the fuel tank fully topped up. After the storage period, the engine may be operated as normal without draining the fuel tank. For storage periods in excess of 6 months it is reccommended that the engine is started and checked for smooth combustion of the old fuel before taking the vehicle onto the road.
