Application

KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra can be used with all diesel fuels and any make of diesel engine. Can be used as a preventative treatment or as a cure at the first sign of a problem with the Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration cycle. This is usually indicated by the illumination of a warning light. KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra is a diesel engine treatment that cleans and restores diesel particulate filters as well as cleaning the entire fuel system.
KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra will help to prevent the eventual serious fouling of the Diesel Particulate Filter which results in expensive replacement and possible consequences in other parts of the combustion system – for example the turbo charger. KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra will help improve the efficient running of the vehicle. The inclusion of KENT Fuel Guard 2 provides intake valve and injector clean up and “keep clean” performance, it controls any fuel tank moisture, reduces corrosion, improves lubrication of fuel pumps & injectors, and with increased cetane rating, assists in smoother running and improved cold start up. KENT Fuel Guard 2 helps to reduce further filter pollution and reduces exhaust emissions.
If the Diesel Particulate Filter becomes completely blocked and the engine fails to start, this product will not cure the problem. The Diesel Particulate Filter must be removed and manually cleaned using KENT FAP/DPF Cleaner.
Certain diesel vehicles (such as Peugeot, Citroen, some Ford and Volvos) have an onboard fluid reservoir to aid Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration. KENT DPF Cleaner can be added to the fuel tank on those vehicles as a supplement when required, but should NOT be added to the special onboard fluid reservoir.

Instructions

Preventive maintenance: One 250 ml bottle of KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra will treat up to 50 liters of diesel fuel. Add directly to the fuel tank before re-filling with fuel. Do not over dose. Add one bottle every other refill of the fuel tank.
Treatment of unresponsive Diesel Particulate Filter: Where an engine has entered “limp mode” due to a Diesel Particulate Filter that has failed to regenerate fully under normal conditions, the use of KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra can assist in restoring the normal regeneration capability. For best results, the fuel tank should contain only 20 - 25 litres of diesel fuel. Add one bottle to the fuel tank and run the vehicle for approximately 10 - 20 kilometres at 100 km/h. Continue using the vehicle as normal until the fuel tank is nearly empty, then refill, adding another bottle of KENT DPF Cleaner Ultra. Follow the preventive maintenance program to help reduce the possibility of a recurrence of the problem.
