Energetic support of the KENT employees in the SOS Children's Village

For KENT, social engagement is very important. As a result, we are helping with both manpower and cash donations for the SOS Children's Village, a non-governmental, independent and non-denominational organisation operating in 133 countries. Together with the SOS Children's Village, three current projects were selected in Belgium, France and Germany, which need urgent support.

Day 1: The hedge

A motivated KENT team was welcomed in the multigenerational house of the SOS Children's Village in Dusseldorf Garath with waffles, sandwiches and fresh coffee on the morning of September 20th. The refreshment was needed for the upcoming task. A 150-meter long hedge was waiting for a new cut after several years. In short: The entire walkway around the garden of the multigenerational house had to be revamped again.

The KENT employees demonstrated brilliant skills in dealing with hedge trimmers, axes of various sizes and other garden tools, so that this task was easily mastered ahead of time!

Day 2: The garden shed

In the day care center of the SOS Children's Village on the second day, an old garden shed awaited demolition and a piece of garden for the clearance of uncontrolled growth. Once again the team of KENT was greeted by the employees of the day care center with power breakfast. The team quickly set to the demolition and destruction of the garden shed. As expected, the axe turned out to be a coveted object among the male helpers.

Following the demolition and the restoration of the lawn for the new house, it was even possible to do some gardening in the multigenerational house. Thanks to the motivation of each employee, we were able to take a lot of work off the SOS Children's Village team.
